Frida Feline Nilsen (31) is a Norwegian filmmaker, music producer and composer working at the intersection of film, sound, art, music, and performance.

Her practice often takes a dreamy, experimental, surreal, and metaphorical approach to contemporary social and political themes.

She is the artist behind Aural Art Productions, a sole proprietorship and creative platform for her independent and collaborative audiovisual work.

In recent years, Nilsen’s practice has developed from smaller, project-based work into a more long-term and independent artistic direction, with increasing creative responsibility across both her own and collaborative productions.

As a film worker, she has eight years of industry experience across feature films, TV-series, short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries.

Nilsen values the flexibility to work across a range of projects and formats. Each job is approached as an opportunity to develop skills, deliver high-quality work and build meaningful professional relationships.

Nilsen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Music Production from the Academy of Contemporary Music in the UK (2017), with additional studies in recording techniques at the Faculty of Performing Arts in Stavanger and film scoring through Berklee Online.

Prior to working professionally in the arts, Nilsen was a Norwegian Karate Champion in 2010 and 2011, and a member of the national cadet team. The discipline, focus, and long-term commitment developed through martial arts continue to inform her creative process and professional practice.

Alongside her artistic work, she engages in skydiving and freediving: activities that provide focus, balance, and creative inspiration. She often brings these experiences into her artistic practice, exploring the unique perspectives of both the underwater world and the skies.
